Fairwell Friend

Hi all!  It's another fabulous Tuesday and this week brings a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks- how about showing us some Goodbye cards?  I wanted to do something really soft and pretty and figured Druscilla was the perfect image to make that happen :)  I got advice from some peeps on Instagram for what color to do her hair- amazingly all the colors were suggested!- so I still had to make a decision and decided to go with the early votes which were for blonde.  Then I paired her with some Glitz paper I just picked up with birthday money from my LSS, and a few other fun things like some sequins, to finish the card out.
I hope that you'll pop on by the challenge blog to see the other awesome projects by the DT.  And it's super easy to play along if you want- just follow the theme and use a TI image :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me- ya'll are the best!

Just Chillin'

Hi all!  How's it going?  My week is flying by as I've been busy catching up at work (yuck!) but the bright side is that means the weekend gets here faster so I guess I'll take what I can get, lol :)  I'm just popping in to share a new little make that's featuring one of the new digi images that was released yesterday at Some Odd Girl- her name is Chill Kaylee and, I know I say this pretty much every time I color a new image, but I'm seriously in love with her!  She is somehow super cute but also totally cool all at the same time- I can't even be those things individually most of the time so I'm not quite sure how she pulls it off :)  I hope that you'll stop by the SOG blog to get some more inspiration and then maybe pop into the shop to grab her- one of the best things about digi's is it's instant gratification at a super price so it's hard to pass them by...just ask my checking account!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit my little slice of the world wide web- I hope you've enjoyed yourself!

Catch of the Day

Hi all!  Boo- I'm back from vacation...but Yay cause I'm back in my craft room :)  Vacations are great but it's always nice to come back home.  To help kick things off I'm back with the new challenge over at Tiddly Inks- Masculine projects.  Now, for those of you who've known me for a while, you know I don't really do the whole masculine thing (my family is much more on the girlie side of the spectrum, lol) so this is always a tough one for me.  But I had a ton of cute images to choose from over in the Tiddly Inks shop and I couldn't resist coloring up the image called Ricky- is he not just the cutest?  I kept things pretty simple since I can't use my fall back, go to embellie's like bling and flowers on a masculine card, lmbo :)  I hope that you like the finished project- be sure to check out the challenge blog for more awesome inspiration from the DT.  And hopefully you'll be so inspired you'll want to join in with us- you have two full weeks to play, just make sure you use a Tiddly Inks image- see, easy peasy!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!

The Tassel is Worth It

Hi all!  I'm currently on vacation visiting family but wanted to share a card that I made for a friend- I gave her 3 custom cards as her Christmas gift and she asked for me to make one that was a cool graduation card.  The main thing she asked was if I could find an awesome image that had a more urban feel and some big, super cool hair- I instantly thought of this image Bling Baby by Kenny K.  I colored her up and paired her with a pretty background of a cityscape and sunset for a clean and simple card.  The sentiment is one I saw online and then just typed up in Word.  The best part was when I delivered the card my friend flipped over how similar the image looked to her friend- I love it when people see the card and say it's a perfect match to who they wanted it for :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and for taking a look at this little blog of mine- ya'll rock!

**Gasp** Sorry everyone- I can't believe it but I forgot to write down my colors!  Please, don't throw rotten tomato's, lol!

Memoirs

Hi all- Happy Tuesday!  And guess what kind of Tuesday it is...a Tiddly Tuesday :)  That's right- there's a brand new challenge over at Tiddly Inks and this go around we want to see you use inspiration from characters in either books or movies.  How fun is that?  Well, I'm definitely a lover of both books and movies so it's always hard to narrow it down...to help I popped over to the Tiddly Inks store and just starting going through some of the images to see what stood out at me.  And, as luck would have it, this gorgeous image, Chi, caught my eye.  As soon as I saw it all I could think was Memoirs of a Geisha- which just happens to be a book and a movie (do you think I get some sort of bonus for being an overachiever?  lol).  I tried something a little different on this card too- this is my first venture into using all digi papers, and I did some paper piecing for the first time.  I was pulling out all the stops on this one :)  But I have to admit, it's definitely a new favorite!  As always, thank you so much for stopping by this little blog of mine to see what's going on.  I hope that you'll pop on over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog as well to take a look at the other fabulous creations that the rest of the DT made- they are a seriously talented bunch of ladies!  And maybe you'll even feel tempted to join in- don't resist it, just grab a Tiddly image and come play with us!!

HB2U

Hi all!  Just popping in to let you know that there's a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks today!  It's another fun one- use 1 image, 2 embellishments and 3 design papers.  Now I looooove me some papers so that part was easy- I almost always have 3 papers that I pick out before I color my images.  Sometimes not all of them make it on the card but they are there if I need them :)  I figured since it was going to have to be light on the embellishments that I'd just do some layers with my papers and choose a super cute image to work with.  I'm not usually one for critter or animal stamps but these adorable birds just make me smile so I had to pull them out!  This is a digi image from TI called For the Birds and you get the birds by themselves, on the branch, and also some pairs and single birds too so there's a lot you can do with them.  I've been wanting to use the HB2U as a sentiment on a card for a little while now and those signs gave me the perfect opportunity!  I hope that you enjoy my card and that you'll stop by the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for some more inspiration from the rest of the DT and maybe even join in :)

Hi Sunshine!

Hi all!  It's been a busy week so far for me- lots going on and I was trying to put together a little blog redesign in the midst of everything else.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out- I even did a little bit of code to get those social media icons!  Sorry- that's my little 'geek' moment- onto the good stuff now, lol :)

I got a little package of happy mail from Some Odd Girl and I'd been dying to color up my Kaylee's Closet Fairy Wings so I sat down this evening with my Copics and had some fun.  Once she was all colored I just couldn't resist getting her on a card asap!  So I grabbed my papers I'd set aside, a mixture of MME and the new Simple Stories, and popped into my craft room.  Here's the end result- I feel like the colors are different than what I normally do...it's a little more muted than all the brightness I feel like I usually go for- but I still like it :)  Thanks so much for popping by to pay me a visit- I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

It's A Happy Day at CMC

Hi all!  I didn't have any trouble coming up with the title for this post because I'm pretty excited about it-
That's right- I'm a Guest Designer over at the Color Me Creative Challenge group!  I was over the moon when I found out- I mean any challenge that's all about coloring is a challenge with my name on it :)  And I remember watching Suzanne Dean's Youtube video's while deciding whether or not to invest in Copics- boy am I glad I did!

The challenge this time is Spring Colors so I grabbed a Saturated Canary image that was perfect for the theme called Lily Bo and Peep and got to coloring.  I noticed that the challenge over at Saturated Canary is 'Read All About It' so I couldn't resist giving a nod to one of my favorite characters of all time, Anne of Green Gables, with some fabulous red hair!  I just had fun with this card- it came together pretty easily and I think it's a definite reflection of how badly I want spring to get here, lol.  Thanks for stopping by to visit and take a look.  Please hop on over to see the other great DT projects at the CMC Challenge and join in if you'd like!

For Love of the Game

Hi all!  Holy cow- I can't believe tomorrow is Friday!  Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but it just seems like this week has gone by super fast.  Probably because I've been busy :)  Between work and cards it just seems like there aren't enough hours in the day...I've been busy creating though, just no time to blog them but I'm making time now if it kills me, lol!  I needed a thank you card for the coach of a girls basketball team and didn't really have any stamps that would work so I set out on the handy dandy internet to see what I could find- and look at this cutie I found- adorable right?  I found it on Etsy in Stephanie Corfee's shop and I just love her- she was absolutely perfect for what I was making- if you think she's adorable too you should definitely check out Stephanie's shop as there are tons of cute images there.  Since the coach is a guy- and I have a terrible time with guy cards- I kept things pretty simple, just a few layers with some design paper from We R Memory Keepers and a sentiment sticker.  I was left staring at it for a bit as I finished up because it just felt a little bare but I didn't dare pile on the flowers or bling, lol :)  Oh well, I'm sure I'll be back to my 'pretty' and my 'fancy' in no time- wouldn't want to suffer from withdrawals!  Thanks so much for popping by to see my latest creation- more to come soon :)
