Just Chillin'

Hi all!  How's it going?  My week is flying by as I've been busy catching up at work (yuck!) but the bright side is that means the weekend gets here faster so I guess I'll take what I can get, lol :)  I'm just popping in to share a new little make that's featuring one of the new digi images that was released yesterday at Some Odd Girl- her name is Chill Kaylee and, I know I say this pretty much every time I color a new image, but I'm seriously in love with her!  She is somehow super cute but also totally cool all at the same time- I can't even be those things individually most of the time so I'm not quite sure how she pulls it off :)  I hope that you'll stop by the SOG blog to get some more inspiration and then maybe pop into the shop to grab her- one of the best things about digi's is it's instant gratification at a super price so it's hard to pass them by...just ask my checking account!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit my little slice of the world wide web- I hope you've enjoyed yourself!

Catch of the Day

Hi all!  Boo- I'm back from vacation...but Yay cause I'm back in my craft room :)  Vacations are great but it's always nice to come back home.  To help kick things off I'm back with the new challenge over at Tiddly Inks- Masculine projects.  Now, for those of you who've known me for a while, you know I don't really do the whole masculine thing (my family is much more on the girlie side of the spectrum, lol) so this is always a tough one for me.  But I had a ton of cute images to choose from over in the Tiddly Inks shop and I couldn't resist coloring up the image called Ricky- is he not just the cutest?  I kept things pretty simple since I can't use my fall back, go to embellie's like bling and flowers on a masculine card, lmbo :)  I hope that you like the finished project- be sure to check out the challenge blog for more awesome inspiration from the DT.  And hopefully you'll be so inspired you'll want to join in with us- you have two full weeks to play, just make sure you use a Tiddly Inks image- see, easy peasy!  Hope everyone is having a fabulous week so far!

The Tassel is Worth It

Hi all!  I'm currently on vacation visiting family but wanted to share a card that I made for a friend- I gave her 3 custom cards as her Christmas gift and she asked for me to make one that was a cool graduation card.  The main thing she asked was if I could find an awesome image that had a more urban feel and some big, super cool hair- I instantly thought of this image Bling Baby by Kenny K.  I colored her up and paired her with a pretty background of a cityscape and sunset for a clean and simple card.  The sentiment is one I saw online and then just typed up in Word.  The best part was when I delivered the card my friend flipped over how similar the image looked to her friend- I love it when people see the card and say it's a perfect match to who they wanted it for :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit and for taking a look at this little blog of mine- ya'll rock!

**Gasp** Sorry everyone- I can't believe it but I forgot to write down my colors!  Please, don't throw rotten tomato's, lol!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges-

Be You

**This is my second post today- to see my Tiddly Inks Challenge Post please scroll down**
Hi all!  Whew- it's a busy day here in blogland :)  But I'm SUPER excited to be sharing one of the new digital stamps being released today over at Some Odd Girl!  Her name is Rani and isn't she just gorgeous?!?  I could not wait to get my Copics on her and have some fun coloring- I was not disappointed my friends :)  After she was all colored and set to go I thought I'd try something a little different for this card.
I've been slightly obsessed with Alice's blog Alice's {Little} Wonderland- I've been pinning cards like crazy for inspiration on the awesome style that she has.  So I thought I'd just take a deep breath and give it a go- and for my first attempt I'm pretty happy with it.  It helps that I found a box of these awesome corrugated cardboard cards at Michael's this weekend- they are so different from my usual style that it let me break out of my mold a little :)  So waddya think- hot or not?  Either way I'm definitely happy that this lets my image take centerstage because she's just too pretty to not be front and center!
I sure do hope that you'll pop on by the Some Odd Girl blog so you can catch up with some other members of the DT who have some fab projects to share as well.  And last, but certainly not least, stop by the SOG store to see all the images released today and maybe pick one or two up for your very own :)

A Helping Hand

Hi all!  It's been a little quiet here on this little blog of mine- I'm getting ready to go on a little road trip with my sis so I've been trying to get everything in order for while I'm gone.  Between my regular work and card stuff that's no small endeavor- I'm sure you've all been there :)  But it's a new Tiddly Tuesday with a brand new challenge- Image Show Off!  It's a super fun one- just use a Wryn image of you chosing and show her off...easy peasy right?

I had this cute little Wryn- New Wing all colored up because I was going to use her on a get well card that I ended up not needing so I was trying to figure out how to use her.  Now I used to work at a daycare (for a loooong time peeps) and when summer hit that meant lots of field trips and lunches at the park which always meant you had to have your first aid kit along for the ride- because with that many kids you know you're going to need a band-aid at some point- am I right?!?  So I thought why not make a super cute First Aid kit- it would be an awesome little gift for a teacher or daycare provider :)  Not too many embellishments because this would definitely be getting thrown in a backpack or purse but kids love cool little stuff like this so fill it with some cool, fun band-aids and they're sure to love it!  Thanks for popping by this little blog of mine to visit and make sure you check out the challenge blog for some more awesome inspiration!

An Odd Tutorial

Hi all!  Guess what?  This week at Some Odd Girl the DT is showing all the cool things you can do with digital stamps!  I love my digi's because they are sooo versatile and couldn't wait to share a little tutorial on how to merge digi stamps in Microsoft Word.  I hope that you'll check out my post- the pic above is just a little sneaky peek of the scene I put together that you can check out in it's entirety on the blog :)  Thanks for stopping by to visit and I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Free Spirit

Hi all!  I'm excited to be sharing my guest design post for The Paper Nest Dolls with you today.  I had the chance to work with Hippie Chick- is she not just the cutest thing ever?  She was a blast to color with my Copics and I loved getting to use some bright and funky colors with her!  I paired her up with some of my favorite things like some bling and flowers and even got to use some peace sign laser cut paper that I've been hoarding holding on to for awhile now :)
I hope that you love her as much as I do- and thank you to The Paper Nest Dolls for letting me pop in and share!

Time for Tea

Hi all!  It's the 1st of the month and you know what that means- a new sketch challenge over at Some Odd Girl :)  We've got this gorgeous sketch to work with:
sketch2
I love the sketches at SOG because they give you a lot of room for interpretation!  This time I went a little more true to the basic sketch because I tried my hand at a boys card- they are definitely my achiles heel in cards but I've heard practice makes perfect- or at least a little better- so I just keep trying every now and then :)  If you're a Wednesday Live Color Along fan from the Ustream show that Kristy does then you'll recognize Mad Hatter Kody as the image she did last week and it definitely stretched my Copic boundaries!  Those pants were a challenge, and about half way through I thought the image was destined for the trash bin, but I stuck with it and I think they turned out okay.  Have you ever tried to do patterns like that?  How'd it go for you?  Well, I sure do hope that you'll stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to see all the other inspiration from the DT- they always knock my socks off!  And thanks as always for popping by to pay me a visit :)
