Soft Kitty

Hi all!  Sorry it's been a little quiet on the blog- I've been busy creating but not quite able to share things just yet so they're sitting in the wings patiently :)  But I do get to share my first Thursday Throwback card for Tiddly Inks!  It's and awesome way to showcase some of those images that have been hanging around getting lost in the midst of all things new and shiny.  

So I was watching TV as I was going through my possible images- one of my favorite shows Big Bang Theory was on- and it just so happened to be an episode that included the song Soft Kitty.  For those of you who don't know the show it's a little ditty that one of the characters mother would sing to him when he was sick and it pops up quite a bit.  Right as the characters starting singing the song my eyes fell on this image called CatGirl and I just knew I had the makings for one super silly Get Well card!  So this is my Soft Kitty card- I hope you like it!

Fintastic

Hi all!  Is anyone else as excited as I am that it's almost the weekend?  I had some plans that fell through and as disappointed as I am that they did I'm also happy to find myself with a free Saturday :)  I'm sure I'll end up doing something boring like getting groceries but it's nice all the same!  I'm popping in tonight to share two of the new digi's that were released at Some Odd Girl this week and they are so fun...I'm really loving the background images that Kristy has released- they give so much variety to showcase the images.  Here's a peek at Sea Song Mae and the Reef Background- they go perfect together no?  I flipped Mae (one of my favorite things about digi's!) and then merged her with the Reef background stamp in Word.  It's super easy and there just so happens to be a tutorial by moi over at Some Odd Girl if you're not quite sure how to go about it :)  I hope you'll pop on over to the store to see all that was released this week- there's clear stamps, digi's and even some cut files so something for everyone- and best of all is there's a sale going on!  As always, thank you so much for stopping by to visit- your comments seriously make my day!!

Missing You

Hi all!  Well, as promised I'm back with another cutie from this month's clear stamp release over at Some Odd Girl.  I have to say, this is one of my favorite releases to date- the image's are just so pretty and super versatile which is always a plus in my book :)  Today we're featuring Miss You Mae- isn't she just gorgeous?!?  I colored her up with my Copics to match some of my favorite papers right now- the MME Find Your Wings and Fly collection- and made a shaped card with some of my dies.  These shaped cards are still kinda tricky because I'm used to doing squares but it's a good challenge to get me out of my comfort zone :)

Dare to be Unique

Hi all!  Can you believe it's the beginning of a new week already?  Is it just me or do the weekends disappear in a flash?  Well, I got some major non-crafty things done this weekend- cleaned out my closets and drawers of all clothes that no longer fit (I've been getting healthier and its starting to show!) and took them to donate.  Then tried to find a few cute things to replace my now mostly empty closet :)  Had a fabulous Father's Day- my sister and I treated the dad's to dinner on us and it was full of good food and lots of laughter.

I did have some time for crafting though and it's a good thing because CHA is coming quickly and I'm going to be there this year with Some Odd Girl- yay!!!  But before that happens there are still a ton of fun things going on at SOG- one of which is a new clear release this week.  I'm pretty sure you're going to love them; I know I sure do!  To start off we're revealing Dare To Be Gwen- you might remember I had a sneak peek of her all the way back in April- but now she's finally here.  I absolutely love coloring her up and she's perfect for just about any type of card.  Because of that I left this particular one without a sentiment so that I can customize it once I know what it will be used for.

Happiness Fairy

Hi all!  How's this week going for everyone?  Mine's been pretty good- just busy as always- I wish someone could tell me how to get more hours in my day...wait, no, scratch that, then I would just be expected to work even harder!  Okay- enough about that- what do you say I actually get on with my card?  Yesterday was a new digi and cut file release over at Some Odd Girl and it's full of some images I just know you parents out there can use :)  I chose to work with Pouting Tia- I know she's supposed to be pouting (and probably being a little stinker) but I just can't help but smile when I see her!  Maybe because it's so true to life...

I colored her up with my Copics in true girly fashion with lots of pink and a sparkly crown.  But then when it came to the sentiment I knew I wanted to do something funny so I pulled out this digi stamp from Graphicat because I felt it had just the right amount of attitude :)  I have a feeling this will be a cute little pick-me-up card for one of my friends here in the near future...

Life is Sweet

Hi all!  I can't believe it's Tuesday already- man the time just flies by!  But there's an awesome thing about Tuesday's- it's time for a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks :)  This time we're looking for projects showcasing some 'Summer Sun'- basically just break out those summer papers, images and/or colors and come play along!  I've used the Sweets for My Sweet clear stamp set for my card and used some bright and summery colors on my clean and simple card.  I'm getting more comfortable with this style the more I stretch myself to use it and I'm pretty happy with how this turned out :)  I sure hope that you'll stop by the blog and check out the other wonderful summer cards that my teamies put together.  And thanks as always for stopping by to pay me a visit!
