Staff Meeting Goodies

Hi All!  We have our monthly staff meeting at work tomorrow morning (by morning I mean the incredibly early 7am- it should be illegal!) and, in my infinite wisdom, I offered to make a set of cards to be raffled off.  Normally this is really no big deal but with all the Christmas card orders, and other misc orders I'm falling behind on, it was probably not my best idea ever!  But, luckily, I had a delightful new digital stamp from Mo Manning at aptly named 'Door with Wreath' that was just the thing to make a simple but pretty card.

I had some Little Yellow Bicycle patterned paper that's green with embossed snowflakes from a year or two ago and it was the perfect thing to mat the stamped image, which I'd colored with my Copics, to make the wreath pop.  I added some Stickles in Frosted Lace for a little accent of snow as a finishing touch.  Once the cards were done I just used a simple ribbon to tie it all together and I think it's a nice little set.  I'm so in love with how the image turned out I think I might have to make a few more cards for myself to write my thank you's after the holidays!

Well, Here Goes Nothin'...

Hi to anyone who may have stumbled across my little blog.  This is my maiden post so I'm learning as I go!  I've been doing cards for a few years now and, after doing some blog hopping recently, realized that there's a whole universe of like minded papercrafters here in blog land.  After seeing a few postings for openings on design teams and reading the fine print I figured out that the first step, should I want to ever pursue the design team thing (or really any kind of challenge), would be to set up my own blog.  And lucky for me after a few false starts it wasn't really all that hard :)

So now what to do for my first post...Since I want to be able to share my cards with whoever is interested in seeing them what better start than to post a recent favorite of mine?  It features a digital stamp from Kenny K Downloads named Troublemaker (if you've never seen Kenny K's stuff please check them out at -they are awesome!) and the Lush line of paper from My Minds Eye in red.  Add a couple of paperflowers and pearls I always have floating around and the card is complete.  I love the way it turned out- it really allowed my stamped image, which I colored with my trusty Copic's, to take center stage.

Well, I think that concludes my first post ever!  I hope if you've stumbled across this little baby blog of mine you enjoy!  Till Later....K
