Cupcake Wishes

Hi all!  I hope that everyone is having a fabulous Friday!  Mind should be as I only have to work half a day todya- yay :)  But before I head out it's also Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks so I've got a little something to share with everyone...
I used my Copics to color up this image called Hey There Cupcake quite a while ago but somehow just never got around to sticking it on a card so I figured it was about time to use her!  Isn't she awesome?  Then I paired her with some papers from Simple Stories and added some of my favorite embellishments- I got some new goodies from Elle's Studio and couldn't wait to use that sentiment pennant :)
I hope that you enjoy and that you have a totally fab Friday yourselves...thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

I used up all the pages in my Copic notebook where I write down all my colors and now I can only find my new one!  Sorry, that means no notes on this cutie :(

Penguin Joy

Hi all my crafty peeps!  How's it going for you this fine Tuesday?  Tuesdays are always a good day for me in blog land and they are usually busy :)  Today is no different as I'm dropping in to share with you a new digi release over at Some Odd Girl- how about we say hello to these cuties- Momma and Baby Penguin!  Too cute right?  I'm not usually a huge critter girl but I have to admit Kristy is converting me with all these awesome images that she's been coming up with- how can you not just fall in love with them?
I colored this pair up with my Copics and tried to get a little bit of furry texture on the little one's chest after looking at some adorable pictures of real baby penguins.  (Let me tell you- that side tracked me for a good half hour online- they are so cute!)  Then I played with some distress inks, sprays and my new Heidi Swapp stencil to get the starry sky.  But I was running into a total block as to how to get some snow on there...I tried some white puffy paint but that was just not working for me so then I pulled out my cheesecloth to see if I could bend that to my will but it was a total no go.  So guess what I ended up using- a cotton ball!  I know- it's so easy it's embarrassing how long it took me to get there, lol :)
I hope that you enjoy this little card of mine...please make sure and stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out the links to some other odd and wonderful projects with this new release.  And to pick them up for yourself you can pop on over to the shop- easy peasy :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!!

O Christmas Tree

Hi all!  Just stopping in to share a little tag I made for the new digital release over at Some Odd Girl.  If the stores are any indication its already time to start thinking about Christmas!  At least in the crafty world we're used to planning ahead so SOG's got you covered :)  This week one of the new digi's is Christmas Tree Mae and not only is she a whole ton of fun to color but she's perfect for all those holiday cards and tag's we all know are coming.  So I pulled out one of my little banner chipboard pieces and made a little tag with her using some of my favorite things like bling and some wooden snowflake accents.  I fell down on the job and forgot to write my colors down so I hope you'll forgive me :)
Don't forget to check out the store to see what other digi goodness was released this week.  And while in your in Some Odd Girl land pop on over to the blog to catch some awesome tut's on using your stamps for projects other than cards :)  Thanks for visiting me!!

Totally Awesome Day

Hi all!  Just popping in to give you the heads up on the new challenge that's starting over at Tiddly Inks :)  Can I just say that peeps totally rocked the new digi and clear release hop we had and I hope that carries over into this challenge- I can't wait to see what everyone starts creating!!

So this time we want to see some School Day Fun!  For my project I decorated one of those large wooden clothespins with some new washi tape from Scotch that I got at Office Depot, an adorable image called Stand Out in the Crowd and some enamel dots.  I know how everyone loves taking pic's of their little ones (or not so little ones!) on the first day of school.  This is a perfect way to show off those printed instagram pics and you can easily change them out from year to year.  To demonstrate I used a sweet pic of me and my sister- that seems so long ago!
I hope you enjoy my little project and that you'll join in with us at Tiddly Inks- just remember to use a TI image :)  Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Wicked Birthday Wishes

Today, Tiddly Inks is celebrating a wonderful NEW release!  We have 10 new release images for you!  Some of these fabulous sets will be in clear and all will be in digital form, so you have a huge variety to choose from. The team is celebrating with a hop.  Make sure to hit up every blog on the way to see examples of ALL the new releases.  Leave a comment on each blog and you will be eligible for some fun prizes.  All the prize details will be on your final stop at Christy's blog, Tiddly Inks.  The hop will go all weekend (through the 19th at 12am CST) so you have plenty of time to comment and visit each blog.  You'll also get to meet all of our new team members!

For my card, I chose to use the Wicked Birthday set- isn't it fabulous?  I just love how Christy can make a little 'creepy' as she calls them as cute as her cuties!  I have so many girlfriends who LOVE skulls so I'm always on the look out for some fab images that feature them and I could not get over this Wicked Birthday set- it's perfect :)
For my card I colored up this fab image with my Copics and paired her with some fun Pink Paislee Halloween papers- I love this green color and it seemed to fit perfectly with the whole idea of the card I had in my head.  A few of my fav bits and bobs later my card was complete!
The following is the hop list that each member has on her blog.  Make sure to go in order so you don't miss anyone and have a fabulous time!

With that in mind I created a little bookmark that would be a great new teacher gift or an awesome little surprise for someone's first day of school :)  And with a fab price tag it's hard to pass her up!  I hope you'll pop on over to the SOG blog to see some more great creations- and don't forget to stop by the store and get one of your very own before time runs out!

Deer Friends and Santa's Helpers

**For Tiddly Inks Challenge Post please scroll down**
Hiya all!  Told you it was going to be a busy one today :)  It's day two of the clear release reveal over at Some Odd Girl and I'm sharing with you a darling little image called Holideer.  My all time favorite thing about this set is that Kristy made it so versatile by including a sentiment that works with this little cutie for so much more than just holiday themed projects!  I hope that you fall in love with him just like I have- he is definitely one of my other favorites from this release (although I think I say that about them all, lol).  You must pop on by the SOG blog to see the other creations made by the DT featuring not only this little guy but another image as well!

But wait!  That's not all that's happening over at Some Odd Girl- I know it's hard to believe that Kristy can really do all this but she also put together some digi's for this week- I know right?  Crazy stuff!  And she stuck a little nagging thought in my head when we first saw these images- she mentioned how cool it would be to merge them...so of course I had to do that :)  So here I have for you Santa's Helper Tobie and Santa's List Tia.  They were a whole lot of work to color up so the card is pretty simple but I think they would've stolen the show anyway.  I hope you like them as well- make sure you pop on over to the SOG store to get a look at all the new goodness we've been throwin' out at ya- I promise you won't be disappointed!  And, as always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me :)

A Monster Bash

Joy of the Season

Hi all!  Can you believe it's the start of a new week already?  The time just seems to pass by so quickly these days...which makes this new Christmas clear stamp release from Some Odd Girl seem like it's in just the nick of time even if it is only August :)  There are some adorable critters in this new set of images and today I'm sharing with you one of my favorites- Chrismouse!  Is he not just the cutest?  I had a blast coloring him up and I got to do so a few more times as he was part of the make and takes we did at CHA.  I wanted to do something different than the normal card so this is just a little treat box filled with some chocolates- it was pretty simple to make so it's a definite possibility for gifts for my co-workers this year!  I hope that you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to see the amazing things the rest of the girls did with him and another awesome image and if you leave a comment there you even get a chance to win one of your very own :)  Thanks for popping in to visit- keep your eyes peeled for more of this fun release coming your way tomorrow!

Just Floatin' By...

Hiya Peeps!  Just floatin' on by to share my make for Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks.  I have a slight obsession with Christy's 'Whatever' images- I think it might be the hair, or maybe the little skull on her shirt that you almost miss but gives such personality.  Either way I just can't get enough of coloring this little cutie up so I had to do another one- this is Whatever Floats By- cute as heck right?  I didn't go to crazy on the card- it's hard to do to much on these corrugated cards- but I really like the look of them so I'll keep making them even if they do go more CAS.
I hope that you enjoy and that you'll stop on by the challenge blog and check out the other Fab Friday creations by the design team...they never cease to amaze me!  Thanks for stopping in to visit, I hope everyone has an awesome weekend wherever you are :)

Sea Swept

Hi all!  How's this week going for everyone?  Mine is slowing coming to an end and heading into an action packed weekend filled with family from out of town and lots of fun!  But before that can begin I've got a totally fun new sketch challenge to share from Some Odd Girl.  I had a big layover coming home from Vegas last week so I carried on my Copics and some images to kill time while I was waiting in the airport and this Under the Sea Mae image is what I ended up with.  I waited until I got home to do the background however and wasn't quite sure how it was going to turn out, but in the end I'm pretty happy with it :)
So here is the awesome sketch we have to work with- such a fun one no?  I love how much room for interpretation there always is...

And here's my card...
I obviously flipped it and added some more bits and pieces to it :)  I was super happy with myself because I even used the two sea shell accent stamps that come in the Under the Sea Mae set to make my own background paper!
I hope that you like the sketch- for some more stunning inspiration you've gotta stop by the SOG blog to check out what my other teamies did- they will knock your socks off!  I sure hope that you'll play along with us- you have all month and all you have to do is use a SOG image and follow the sketch...if we reach 50 players there will even be an extra prize in the mix so how can you go wrong?
Thanks for popping by to visit me- I hope that everyone has a fabulous day!
