Nothing Short of My Everything

Hi All!  It's time for another challenge over at Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge blog and this week we'd love to see Something New.  I was asked to make a very special 15 yr anniversary card for my dad to give to his partner and wanted to make something really sweet that had to boys on it so I took a couple of the lads from Tickled Pink Stamps- Valentine Luca and Lil Lad Eric- and combined them for my image.  I had this new cardstock sticker with the perfect phrase on it...I heard that it even made my dad #2 a little teary eyed when he got it :)  I so hope that you'll join us over at TPSC, just remember to use a Tickled Pink Stamps image- and, in case you aren't aware, there's an awesome preview taking place on the Tickled Pink Stamps blog of the new release and those images go on sale on the 20th so this may be the perfect excuse to pick up a new image to play along with our Something New challenge!

Make The Most...

Hi All!  I'm trying to slowly work my way through all the colored images that I have sitting by waiting to be used and I couldn't wait to use this image called Bliss from the Nouveau Girls line over at Some Odd Girl- I won the whole first release on the blog hop that Kristy held and I'm ashamed that I haven't gotten to them before now but the holidays have a way of hijacking creative plans :)  I just love how artsy these stamps are and the feel that they give to a project.  I of course colored her up with my Copics and I have to say I was pretty pleased with how her dress turned out- that many pleats can be intimidating (and it did take me longer than normal to color) but I definitely feel the result was worth the extra time!  I paired the gorgeous image with some paper from Websters Pages that I felt reflected the mood and a cardstock sticker from Glitz that seemed to work with the direction the card was taking.  Over on the Some Odd Girl blog they want you to 'Bling' your project up and as many of you have probably gathered from seeing my cards- I do love my bling and this pearl swirl seemed to be the perfect addition.  I hope you enjoy the finished product as much as I do :)

Little & Big

Hi All!  Well, there doesn't ever seem to be a dull moment in this little life of mine.  Some major changes are happening at work- like the beginning training phase of implementing a whole new computer system for the entire hospital where I work...to say I've been busy would be the biggest understatement ever!  I have been coloring images though because that seems to be a sort of therapy for me, it's just taken some time to actually get said images on a card, lol.  But I finally managed to eek out a little time at my desk today and just had to share!  I've been holding onto this image called Secrets from Krista over at Saturated Canary in anticipation of using it for my sisters birthday because it reminds me of when we were little.  With hair and eyes colored to match us each it actually does kind of looks like us...although my sister was all to quick to point out that, besides the obligatory Easter outfits, neither of us were really that into wearing dresses :)  When I saw that the challenge over at the Saturated Canary Challenge blog was to do a clean and simple card I decided to try something new, something I can honestly say I've never done before...I didn't use any design paper!  I'm not really sure that I like it...I love how the image just pops right out at you but I still feel like it's pretty plain.  Oh well, it's always good to try something outside your comfort zone right?  Anyhoo thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look- I hope you enjoy!
