Happiness Found

Hiya crafty peeps!  Just popping in to share a little make that I put together- my dad's were invited to a wedding for one of their couple friends and asked me to make a card for them.  The wedding was taking place on a boat out on a lake so I wanted to incorporate some nautical themed bits and I had a couple of things stashed away that I received in my Paper Issues Swag Bag- those bags are like gold I tell ya!  Normally I have a heck of a time finding any stamps that could be used for same sex couples and usually have to try and merge digi images myself so I danced for joy when Kristy over at Some Odd Girl released this image called Best Man a little while back.  I've already gotten good use out of it and I know that won't be changing any time soon :)
Thanks so much for stopping in to visit me- if you're in the US I hope you have a fabulous holiday weekend- and for everyone else I hope your weekend feels like a holiday!

Shopaholic

Hiya crafty peeps!  Hope this week is treating you well so far :)  I'm just popping in to share a new little make with a new digi that's getting released today over at Some Odd Girl- check out Shopping Piper!  If you haven't met Piper she's the newest addition to the Some Odd Girl family which makes her pretty special...and so far she's fitting right in.  I actually took some inspiration from our Some Odd Girl community on Facebook- there's currently a discussion going on there about CAS cards and it got me itching to try one for reals so I challenged myself to get out of rut and use as few supplies as possible.  Boy, that's not easy as I found myself so tempted to grab more stuff, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out :)
I hope that you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out some more Piper love, as well as the other new release this week.  Also stop on by our Facebook group and see what inspiration you can find in the conversations there- plus there's just a lot of fun, laughter and friendship!
Thanks as always for stopping by to visit my little piece of blogland today!

Totally Awesome

Hiya crafty peeps!  Hope that your week is off to a good start so far :)  I'm just popping in to share a new digi that's being released today over at Some Odd Girl- this adorable little Sea Turtle!  I just love this little guy and he's so fun and easy to color (plus he totally makes me think of Finding Nemo, lol).  I paired him with some beachy papers from a SUPER old Bo Bunny line because the bright colors seemed to suit him and a few other bits and bobs- like some bamboo twine that you can also find in the Some Odd Girl shop.  If you want to check him out- and get introduced to the new character being welcomed into the SOG family this week- then make sure to pop on over to the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more amazing inspiration.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

Hi Sunshine

Hiya peeps!  Wow- did this week just fly by or what?  I totally love Friday's and this one was even better because I actually found some crafty time tonight.  I got this adorable lion from the Some Odd Girl On Safari clear stamp set colored up last night and he was just looking at me from my desk begging to get put on a card- so of course I had to sit down and comply, lol :)  I just love the look of these corrugated cardboard cards, and felt like it suited this image perfectly, so I grabbed one of those and just a tad bit of design paper from Bo Bunny.  Pair those things with some awesome bamboo twine (you can find that at Some Odd Girl too!) and some other bits and bobs and the card actually came together very quickly- I love when that happens!
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me- I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
