Merci

Hiya crafty peeps!  Thanks for checking back in for the next new clear set from the Some Odd Girl release- Frenchie Gwen!  She is tre' cute no?  Keeping with the stamps only theme for this card I used the sentiment stamp, masked it, and then used the Eiffel Tower stamp to emboss a background and viola!  I have to say I really like the versatility of using my stamps like this and should challenge myself to step outside the box a little more often :)
Now make sure you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more amazing inspiration and then pop on in the shop to grab this cutie, and Frenchie Kody, up all for yourself!  And don't forget to share what you make with us in the Linky party found in the sidebar of the blog- you've got all month and we love seeing your creativity!
Thanks for stopping by!

Bonjour!

Hiya crafty peeps!  Welcome to the new clear release over at Some Odd Girl- if you like international treats then wait till you see what's in store!  First up we have Frenchie Kody- quite the looker no?  I decided to try something new this time around and only use the stamps in the set to make my card (ignore the ribbon- I couldn't help myself!) :)  So I used one of the many sentiment stamps from the set- any of them would work perfect for this- stamped it in a grid pattern then heat embossed with some black embossing powder.  This is such a fun and easy trick and lets you get the most out of all the stamps in your set!
I hope that you enjoy my little make and don't forget to stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog for tons more inspiration as well as the shop to grab him up for your very own!  Thanks for stopping by- make sure to check back tomorrow for some more frenchie fun!

You & Me

Hiya crafty peeps!  It's another new week which means another awesome new digi release is happening over at Some Odd Girl!  Today I'm going to share Girlfriends Kaylee and Mae and it's the perfect stamp to make cards for those girlfriends you love.  Whether it's a birthday, thinking of you, or even invitations to something fun like a special girls night out this image is sure to be one that you print off often :)  I've seen some cool cards lately where people have stamped onto patterned paper so I wanted to give that technique a try.  I tried to keep the paper a light color so you could easily still see the stamp and I think it turned out okay- what do you think?  It still trips me out a bit when I have a stamp and don't color it, lol!
Don't forget to make a stop over at the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more inspiration from this weeks release and then pop on into the new shop to grab her up for your very own!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

Enjoy This Moment

Hiya crafty peeps!  I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday!  I took a little break from blogging to enjoy my family and friends but it's time to get back in the swing of things...and what better way to start off than with a new digi release over at Some Odd Girl!  Today I'd like to introduce Fighter Gwen with you- I had a tough time deciding how to color her up because there were so many ideas floating in my head- she'd be perfect for a Fight Like a Girl theme or colored up like Rosie the Riveter.  Ultimately I decided to do a slight Fight Like a Girl theme but with a twist.  As some of you know I work in Breast Care Services and so I wanted a little reminder in my office to stop and appreciate each moment because there are people out there who are struggling much more than I am.  So this is a little sign for my office that I can look at and remember why I really do what I do each day :)
Don't forget to stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog for some more inspiration.  And if you haven't seen it yet you absolutely have to check out the new Some Odd Girl shop- it got an awesome face lift and I know you'll love it!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

Season's Greetings

Hi all!  Another week closer to Christmas and I've been a busy little card maker- how about you?  I love the Some Odd Girl portrait images because they are so universal, you can use them for pretty much anything- including Christmas cards!  So that's just what I've done here with Demure- so pretty in classic colors of red and green.  Not a color combo I use that much, even during the holidays, but it works perfectly here!
Now make sure that you hop on over to the Some Odd Girl shop to check out the digi bundles on sale this week- Demure can be found in one of them!  And for more inspiration don't miss a stop at the Some Odd Girl blog too.  Plus there's still time to share all those awesome SOG projects you've been working on with us in the December Linky party in the sidebar of the blog :)
As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me- I hope you've enjoyed my little make!

Sunshine and Flowers

Hiya crafty peeps!  Thanks for popping in to visit me today- it's Tuesday so that means we're celebrating a new digi release over at Some Odd Girl!  Meet Flower Kaylee- I mean, isn't she just gorgeous!  I had an absolute blast coloring her up with my Copics and she's perfect for any type of card.  I paired her up with some of Some Odd Girls Sunshine Sorbet papers because I just felt like the colors suited her perfectly- especially that pink woodgrain...yummy!
Make sure you stop on over on the Some Odd Girl blog for some more amazing inspiration and pop on into the shop to grab her up for your very own.  Don't forget to join us over in the Some Odd Girl Facebook community either and share your projects- we love to see what you create!
