Flutter By Hi

Hiya crafty peeps!  How's it going?  I'm happy to report that the sun has finally decided to shine here in my little neck of the woods and it's helped kick my crafting into high gear so get ready for some blog action coming your way :)  To start things off I have a cute little card to celebrate Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks using the adorable Thanks Fairy Much image.  She's a ton of fun to color and I just had to go bright with her :)  I matched her with some paper from Carta Bella and threw in some fun embellishments that I haven't used much lately like some bling flourishes and flowers.  Oh, and did you check out that adorable wood cloud embellie?  Courtesy of Freckled Fawn who I got a chance to meet at CHA- the sweetest girls ever and some adorable stuff- if you haven't checked them out before you MUST!
Well, that's it for today, thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back tomorrow for some new stuff coming your way!

Ribbons & Star Lily's

Hiya crafty peeps!  How's it going?  As you can see it's quite the busy day today on this little blog of mine, lol :)  I'm back to share with you the new digi release that's happening over at Some Odd Girl today!  These are a couple of truly beautiful images so it was a lot of fun to color them up...
First up is Ribbon- it's just a gorgeous image and I feel like I can practically smell that big flower!  I kept the card fairly simple with just one patterned paper and some washi tape for the background.  If you love that gold doily that Ribbon is sitting on you must go check them out in the SOG store- they are super cheap and unlike anything I've worked with before but I'm in love, lol!
Then we have Star Lily- gorgeous no?  I wanted to take her in a different direction so I used on of the corrugated cardboard card bases I got at Michaels.  I love this image so much I'm already thinking about what I can do on the next card I make with her- some sort of flower child kinda feeling I think :)
I hope that you like my little makes with this new release- make sure to pop on by the SOG blog for information on some more inspiration from the rest of the team as well...and if you want to pick them up for yourself you can find them in the SOG shop!  Thanks for stopping by to visit me :)

Epic

Hiya crafty peeps!  Well, this finds me back at home from CHA- wow, what a trip!  And now it's time to get back into the swing of things here at home- luckily there's a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks to get me started on the right foot...this time we want to see some Tags :)  I have to admit, I had never really been a tag maker but in the last year or so I find myself loving making them.  I know I'm going to be doing some 'boy' presents here soon so I figured I could get a head start on those tags with my little make for the challenge...so I colored up My Batty Hero with my Copics and then dug for some boy paper in my stash- I'm not sure but I think it's from Little Yellow Bicycle.  To finish things off right I found this tag from Chic Tags that just seemed perfect!  I hope you like my little make and will stop on by the TI Challenge blog so you can play along with us!

Thanks!

Hi all!  I hope that you've had a great week but I'm sure you're probably really happy that it's Friday right?  How about making it even better by celebrating with a Fab Friday over at Tiddly Inks :)  For my card I made a cute little thank you note- I don't know about you but my family was super big about us writing thank you notes for all our gifts after Christmas and it's something that's just stuck with me so I try to keep things nice and simple so its a quick little card but still something handmade that gives that little something extra.  I love using the digi stamps For the Birds for thank you cards because it's a fun little image to color but not too detailed and the work Thanks fits perfectly in their little signs :)  Since this had to go in the mail I didn't add too many embellishments to it- just a little twine and some pearls in the corners.  Thanks for stopping by and visiting, I hope that you like my little make- be sure and check out the TI Challenge blog for lots of other inspiration to get your creative groove going for the weekend :)

Purrfectly Sweet

Hi all!  It's a brand new Tuesday which means there's a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks!  This has slowly become one of my favorites although I know not many of my teamies were excited about it, lol- we'd like to see you do something Clean & Simple :)  I used the clear set Cat Fever to put together my CAS card and to keep it 'simple' I only added a small piece of design paper from American Crafts, some twine from the Twinery and a button that was just hanging out in my stash.  I hope that you like my little make- please stop by the TI Challenge blog to check out some more inspiration and maybe play along with us!
On a personal note I'll be headed to CHA in the morning so if you want to follow along and get a behind the scenes look at things keep an eye out on my Instagram as I plan on sharing pics :)

Tag It!

Hiya crafty peeps!  Did everyone have a great holiday?  I sure did- lots of fun, laughter and great food as always which has definitely made it difficult to get back into things.  Thankfully there's a new challenge over at Some Odd Girl for the month of January to help me get back into the swing of things :)  This month we want to see you get creative with tags!  So you can make one or get creative and use them on your cards or layouts.  For my entry I pulled out all the stops and actually created a custom luggage tag!  I can't for the life of me remember where I picked these up but they are black plastic and have little pockets for you to put your masterpiece in- bonus is they will make it even easier to pick out my bags when all the luggage looks the same around the carousel :)  I used the Breakfast Friends clear set to stamp out a coffee cup (because coffee is literally my drug of choice, lol) and got my coloring on.  To keep things simple I just took some matching washi tape to accent the top and then wrote my name in free hand.
I hope that you enjoy this little make of mine!  Please stop on by the blog for some more inspiration from the rest of the team and then come on and join us with a tag project of your very own- we love seeing what all you amazingly creative people come up with and there's prizes to be won!

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Hi all!  I've got something a little different to share with you today:)  I may have mentioned before that I sing- I used to sing in public all the time and for a couple of years in college I was a music major but decided it wasn't for me as a career, at least not in the traditional sense.  After that decision I kind of took a step back and mostly just sang in my car and at home.  But every now and then I get asked by a friend to do something special- perform at their wedding, sing at an annual Christmas house concert, things like that.  This year while practicing for the Christmas house concert I recorded myself so I could see how it sounded...and I decided it might be fun to share this other creative side of me with all of you since you've all given so much support and kindness to me over the years.
I hope that you enjoy and I'm sending warm holiday wishes to all of you wherever you may be- thanks for every visit and kind word- they mean the world to me!

For a Super Woman

Hiya crafty peeps!  Its Tuesday which means that there's a new digi release over at Some Odd Girl and this image is perfect for those Super Women in your lives- meet Super Mae!  I loved coloring her up in the traditional Super Girl colors with my Copics.  I ended up keeping this card pretty clean and simple- mostly because I couldn't find the right paper in my stash for what I was thinking in my head :)  But the crowning piece for me was the sentiment!  I picked this stamp up at a garage sale about 5 years ago and have no idea what company it's from but this baby has made it through craft purges and moves because I always find myself reaching for it!  I hope you love Super Mae as much as I do- don't forget to pop on over to the store if you want to grab her for yourself.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my little space in blogland!

I Love Big Books...

Hiya crafty peeps!  I hope that you're having a fabulous week so far :)  I'm just popping in to share the new digi release that's happening over at Some Odd Girl today- it's super fun one for all you book lovers out there- let me introduce Library Mae!  Now I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks at this digi and instantly thinks 'bookmark'.  But I had a special request for one that could be laminated so it's a little different than what I would normally do because there's no dimension to it at all.  But I'm excited to see how it works out- who knows, maybe that's how I'll start to do all bookmarks, lol.  And check out that sweet tag from Chic Tags- I got it in my grab bag from the Black Friday sale (you know as soon as you read it you'll have the song stuck in your head right? LOL).  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me- please make sure that you hop on over to the store to pick her up for yourself.  And don't forget about the fab SOG Hol-Odd-Day hop that's also going on this week- all the deets can be found here.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

This year, we are VERY happy to bring you some of our gift and decor ideas that we hope will inspire you as we all head into the home stretch!  Today, we HOP!  All you have to do is visit all of the blogs below and leave some love at each stop.  You should have arrived from Jenn’s blog – if so, you’re definitely on the right track!  :)   If not, CLICK HERE to get to the beginning ‘cuz you won’t want to miss a beat!  There are some random thingies to be won here and there, but I can’t tell you exactly where!  You might also notice that we have a guest crafter or two  joining us this week! (One joins us today – woo hoo! – and the other will pop up in the week and we’ll give you an extra chance to win!)

For my project I decided to make a little hanging sign that could be put up on the wall or door during the winter season.  I picked up this square panel at Craft Warehouse for super cheap on Black Friday and then used Snowball Tia- one of my favorite digi's- so that I could size her to fit perfectly.  Added some paper from Echo Park, a tag from Chic Tags, some wooden snowflake embellishments and some ribbon for the hanger and that's all she wrote!
Needless to say, we have had a TON of fun making our Hol-ODD-Day projects, and we hope you have fun hopping with us!  Ready?  Here’s the hop list!
So hop around, take your time, leave your comments between now and Sunday, December 15th and we’ll have some winners to announce on Monday, the 16th!  There may or may not be a stamp set or two up for grabs.  There may ALSO be (or maybe not!) some of the new Odds & Ends to win!  ANNNND there may even be some extras.  But you’ll have to join us throughout the week to find out!
Now you’re off to Lenny’s blog!  Enjoy the hop, Oddies, and we’ll be showing details of some of the projects throughout the week, so drop by and watch for your bonus chances to win!
