Hi All! How's it going? Well I've been having a little attack of the 'Odd'...now stop that imagination that's running wild I'm talking about Some Odd Girl stamps :) (Although I do confess I'm plenty odd too, lol) I've been on a SOG coloring spree and thought it was probably about time to actually make the cards to showcase them...here I'm using one of the new release digi stamps Summer Kaylee. I decided to do a 'big head' for a change of pace and, to be completely honest, because I just LOVE coloring faces and hair :) I wanted something bright and cheerful so I pulled out some paper from Jillibean Soup that seemed to fit perfectly. I think this card could lend itself beautifully to being for lots of different occasions so instead of putting a sentiment on it now I decided to let it sit in my stash and then when I need a specific card I can match up the right sentiment then- keep things a little flexible. I hope you enjoy!

Joyful
Hi All! How's it going? I've been doing pretty good, just busy as usual :) I swear it seems like the holiday season has just crept right up on me so I've been feeling the need to kick my butt in gear and get some holiday cards done. And I don't know about you but when I start seeing the holiday releases at all the stamp companies it doesn't matter how many stamps I already have I get this overwhelming feeling that I can't possibly get any of my Christmas cards done with out new stuff- I think it's a symptom of this craft addiction- and I've conveniently convinced myself that you all do the same thing so at least I'm not alone- please take pity and don't burst my pretty little bubble if that's not true, lol! So speaking of new stamps I picked up this gorgeous digi Angel Kaylee from the Some Odd Girl shop a few days ago and couldn't wait to color her up. Now you'll have to let me know what you think because I tried something a little different and used color in my shading...I've seen the designer of the Some Odd Girl stamps Kristy do this, and even though I'm no where near as good at coloring as her, I couldn't resist trying it out. Even with the color in the shading my image turned out a lot less saturated than what I normally do so as a result my card is a lot softer and more simple than what I've been doing lately but it's nice to switch it up sometimes. I hope you enjoy!

Hope Your Birthday's Peachy
Hi All! Just a sweet little birthday card to share with you today. When I saw this adorable stamp called 'Peaches' in Mo Mannings online shop I just couldn't resist! She is so adorable and I couldn't wait to color her up with my Copics. I paired her with some My Minds Eye Stella & Rose papers and kept the card pretty simple using the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Now if this card could just inspire the sun to come out and summer to start I'd be a very happy girl :)

Happy Day
Hi All! So the wonderful thing about taking part in the different card challenges out there is that sometimes you get pushed out of your comfort zone and have to take on a completely different style than you're used to. That's what happened to me this week in the Tickled Pink Stamp Challenge. This week their challenge is to do something Vintage and their DT had some amazing projects to take inspiration from. Now I like to incorporate vintage touches in my projects but rarely have I ever done something that is completely vintage. I tend to go for more clean lines and and crisp designs. So this completely lived up to the 'challenge' title! I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers which helped take layout off my plate and let me really get into making everything as vintage as I could...can I just say I don't think I've ever spent this much time on one card!
I used 20's Evie from the Tickled Pink Stamp Store because she seemed the perfect fit for a vintage card. I colored her up with my Copics and the proceeded to distress the heck out of her and every paper on my project :) I also got to use my brand new distressing tool from Imaginisce and I'm sure glad I had it on hand because it made the distressing much easier! I know that there are some amazing designers out there who take Vintage to a whole new level but for my first time I'm pretty happy with the finished project! I think I see more Vintage in my future :)
The card is being entered in the following challenges: Tickled Pink Challenge Blog- Vintage; Friday Sketchers- Sketch; 2 Sisters Challenge Blog- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (use a female image)
