Hi all! Dang- I was totally planning on entering the Saturated Canary challenge for Inspired by a Movie- mine was Pitch Perfect- but life just seemed to have other plans for me this week :) BUT I still got to make a sassy, funky card so I thought I'd share it! I had such a blast coloring up this trendy girl with my Copics- she's part of a stamp duo called
DJ Luv but I kinda cropped the guy out as he just wasn't quite fitting with the idea I had in my head...poor guy :) Now, normally I pick my papers before I start coloring my image but this time I switched it up- mostly because I had such a strong idea of how I wanted to color her- and I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. And, lucky for me, she matched some papers from Fancy Pants! Then I kinda went crazy on the card- I just started throwing Black Soot Distress Ink on everything to grunge it all up and pulled this striped piece of fabric that I've had for, no lie, about 8 years out of the basket where it always sits and stares at me. When I was looking for embellishments I remembered I had these new wooden die cut thingy's (yes, that
is the technical term, lol) from Freckled Fawn and pulled them out to see if there was something that would work- when I saw the word 'Epic' I knew I'd found the perfect thing. So all in all this isn't the most traditional birthday card but the fun thing is that it's definitely the kind of card
