Today Is the Day

Hiya crafty peeps!  Coming at you today with something a little different- one of the digi releases over at Some Odd Girl today is a Mantra Sentiment Pack and it's honestly one of the releases I've been the most excited about :)  I absolutely love the watercolor and brushed sentiment look but I just haven't found the time to try and play around with it yet.  But this sentiment pack from SOG makes it super easy to give it a try so I just couldn't resist.  All I did was take some watercolor paper and alcohol inks- both my Copic refills and some Ranger inks- and started playing until I got the desired watercolor look I wanted.  It's amazing how quickly the time flies once you start playing and there's no real rule book with how to do this so it's just having some fun playing with some inks!  Once those dried I simply ran them through my printer and printed the sentiment right onto the card.  I used a word document and just made a rectangle the same size as my card and then ran a test piece of paper through to make sure the placement was right before doing the final print.  Seriously, these are the fastest and most fun cards- perfect for if you're in a pinch and need something quick and easy!  I just love these sentiments and can't wait to use them on a card with some of my Some Odd Girl images- I just know they will look amazing :)
Don't forget to stop by the blog for some inspiration from the rest of the team, and then pop on over to the shop to grab these babies up for yourself!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!

Friends Stick Together

Hiya crafty peeps!  I can't believe it but another month has come and gone- as crazy as that seems I still love the beginning of a new month because that means it's time for a new clear release at Some Odd Girl!  This week there are two new sets with a decidedly summer type feel- perfect for the beginning of May when I'm starting to get antsy for anything and everything summery :)  Today I've got Mr. Octopus to share with you and I have to say I would never think to have an octopus image but that's why Kristy is the creative genius that she is...and I can't imagine my collection without him!  I paired him with some fun sea themed papers from Glitz and some of my favorite embellie's and I'm loving the way it turned out.  Plus he's a blast to color- I can't wait to give him another go and play with adding texture.  I hope you love him as much as I do!  Don't forget to head on over to the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more crazy impressive inspiration from the rest of the highly talented design team.  And, when you've decided you just must own him yourself, you can pop on over to the Some Odd Girl shop and scoop him up!  I'll see you tomorrow with the other new image being released- believe me you won't want to miss it :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!

You Are My Favorite

Hiya crafty peeps!  It's another beautiful day here as we're welcoming in spring and Some Odd Girl has the perfect new digi images to help celebrate that :)  I was lucky enough to get to work with Jump Rope Tia and I had an absolute blast because this image is just a plain fun!  I matched her up with some springy papers from Doodlebug designs and some awesome embellies like those neon enamel dots from Freckled Fawn (you seriously need these in your life!).  In the end this was a card that came together pretty quickly and is one of those ones that I think to myself 'now this is a card I'd love to get in the mail' :)  Make sure you check out the Some Odd Girl blog to see the other image being release and some more fabulous inspiration and if you want to grab these newbie's up for yourself just pop on over to the Some Odd Girl shop.  I hope you're enjoying a beautiful day as well and thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today!

Hello Friend

Hiya crafty peeps!  It's been a busy week over at Some Odd Girl and since my blog was hopping with the new clear release on Tuesday I decided to share this new digi on a different day so it wouldn't miss out on it's own little spotlight...please meet Lady Bug Tia- isn't she just too freakin' adorable?!?  Nothing screams springtime to me like ladybugs- I remember being young and counting the number of black spots because that showed how old they were :)  I colored her with my Copics, naturally lol, and paired her with some paper from Doodlebug designs.  For the card base I actually took a black chipboard page from a Cosmo Cricket mini album and I plan on tying two of the pages together with some red and white baker's twine from Doodlebug designs- it just would have been hard to photograph them already tied together.  I love using pieces of chipboard albums for all different kinds of projects since you can find them in all sorts of different shapes and finishes- I'm all about multipurpose items, lol!  Make sure you pop on over to the Some Odd Girl store to check out this and all the other images that have been released this week, both clear and digi :)  Thanks for stopping in to visit!

Hip Hop Hooray

Hiya crafty peeps!  Welcome to day two of the new clear release over at Some Odd Girl!  Today we're introducing the Hip Hop Hooray set with includes some adorable bunnies just perfect for Easter or any time of year really :)  Before SOG I was not really into critters but Kristy totally changed all that and now I just love them, and these bunnies have become a fast favorite.  I decided to make a couple of tags that I figured would be super cute for children's Easter baskets- just add their names and you're set!  I hope that you'll stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out the rest of the DT's inspiration with this set and then maybe hop (like what I did there? lol) on over to the store to pick it up for yourself :)  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!
