Thanks a Bunch!

Hi all!  I can't believe it but here we are with the last clear release for this Some Odd Girl term....and we are going out on a high note I tell you!  Today I'm sharing Bouquet Tobie with you- is he not just the cutest thing ever?  And with Easter and Mother's Day around the corner I can think of so many uses for him in addition to the normal thank you type cards.  I'm really loving making more clean and simple cards lately with bright pops of color and I have to say I think it's a style that fits SOG images really well because they get to truly stand out.
Now make sure that you hop on over to the Some Odd Girl blog to see the rest of the amazing inspiration that awaits you there.  And if you just can't resist picking up Bouquet Tobie for yourself (I totally don't blame you!) then stop on into the shop and grab him :)
Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to check in tomorrow for another fabulous release image!

Some Odd Girl End of Term Hop

Hello, Odd friends, and welcome to Some Odd Girl‘s Fond Farewell blog hop for the 2014-15 Design Team!
The Odd Girls have had a VERY exciting year, with lots of fun events, new shop items we fell in love with, a great presence at CHA, and a whole ton of fun new releases to color and share!  We are grateful for the friendships made, the amazing inspiration from our teammates and from our Oddie friends, and for all the support the crafty world has shown us as Some Odd Girl continues to grow and expand.
Today, and for the next week, we invite you to hop with the whole team and take a little journey with us through the last year as Odd Girls.
At each Odd Girl‘s blog, you’ll find 3 of her very favorite projects created during her term, and at each Odd Girl‘s blog, there will be a digi to win.  Leave your comments at each stop, and be sure to check out the main blog HERE for the full hop list and a chance to win one grand prize.  It’s gonna be a big one!
Now, for the personal stuffs...
To say this term has been an amazing journey would be an understatement- there's so much fun that has happened along the way and lovely friendships made!  Plus I got the privilege to work with some amazing images and be on a team just bursting at the seams with inspiration.  Thanks for joining me on this journey throughout the last year...here are a few of my favorite makes from this time on the team :)
I simply LOVE the portrait stamps from Some Odd Girl!  Blooming was so much fun to color and is a totally versatile image.  I also took the opportunity to use one of the gold doily's from the SOG shop too on this little gem...

Critter images were never really my thing until I started working with Some Odd Girl.  Now I just can't seem to get enough of them- probably because they're just so darn cute and a ton of fun to color.  So I naturally had to include Holiday Pup in my top three projects from the term :)

Final card up is colorful and bright- exactly the way I picture Singer Kaylee would be if I saw her in real life!  She's a girl after my own heart with a microphone in hand and I totally wish I could rock pink hair at work- I would dye it in a second :)  And because I saved the best for last, make sure to leave a comment for a chance to win this fun digi image for yourself!
Now remember- at each Odd Girl‘s blog, you’ll find 3 of her very favorite projects created during her term, and at each Odd Girl‘s blog, there will be a digi to win.  Leave your comments at each stop, and be sure to check out the main blog HERE for the full hop list and a chance to win one grand prize.  It’s gonna be a big one!
We hop now through Tuesday, March 31st at midnight EST, when we say goodbye to the current team and get ready to kick off a whole new term.  Are you ready to hop?

Smart is Sexy

Hiya crafty peeps!  Welcome back to day two of the fabulous new clear release happening over at Some Odd Girl this week.  Today we're introducing Geeky Gwen who is a total win in my book!  What girl doesn't have her smart phone in hand these days?  And with some more killer sentiments like Smart is Sexy (oh yes it is!) and Geek Chic there are a million things you can do with this set.  Now there's a hashtag accent stamp in this set and it reminded me that I'd gotten this big wooden hashtag embellishments in one of my Swag Bags from Paper Issue's and I thought this would be the perfect time to pull it out and us it.  What a fun card base it gives, no?
Now make sure you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog and check out all the rest of the awesome that's on display over there by my teamie's- there's tons of great eye candy!  And after that you can pop on into the shop and pic up Geeky Gwen for your very own.  I have a feeling her and Nerdy Kody are going to be quite the hit this month!
And, as always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

Talk Nerdy To Me

Hiya crafty peeps!  Guess what?  It's time for a new clear release over at Some Odd Girl and I am so excited to share it with you!  You could say it's the Age of the Geek right now and Kristy drew up the perfect images to fit right in- plus sentiments that totally rock my socks off too :)  Today we're showing off Nerdy Kody...if you like your guys complete with glasses and laptop then you are in total luck.  Plus the sentiments in this set are beyond fun- like the one I used here, Talk Nerdy To Me.  I decided to try something a little different for those non-colorers out there and tried stamping with a colored ink onto kraft cardstock.  I think it gives a totally cool effect and I'm sure I'll try this again...
Anyway, make sure you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out some more amazing inspiration from the team and then pop on into the shop to pick up this nerdy little gem all for yourself!  And make sure to stop by tomorrow to see the little nerds partner in crime- Geeky Gwen- in action!
Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Merci

Hiya crafty peeps!  Thanks for checking back in for the next new clear set from the Some Odd Girl release- Frenchie Gwen!  She is tre' cute no?  Keeping with the stamps only theme for this card I used the sentiment stamp, masked it, and then used the Eiffel Tower stamp to emboss a background and viola!  I have to say I really like the versatility of using my stamps like this and should challenge myself to step outside the box a little more often :)
Now make sure you stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more amazing inspiration and then pop on in the shop to grab this cutie, and Frenchie Kody, up all for yourself!  And don't forget to share what you make with us in the Linky party found in the sidebar of the blog- you've got all month and we love seeing your creativity!
Thanks for stopping by!

Bonjour!

Hiya crafty peeps!  Welcome to the new clear release over at Some Odd Girl- if you like international treats then wait till you see what's in store!  First up we have Frenchie Kody- quite the looker no?  I decided to try something new this time around and only use the stamps in the set to make my card (ignore the ribbon- I couldn't help myself!) :)  So I used one of the many sentiment stamps from the set- any of them would work perfect for this- stamped it in a grid pattern then heat embossed with some black embossing powder.  This is such a fun and easy trick and lets you get the most out of all the stamps in your set!
I hope that you enjoy my little make and don't forget to stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog for tons more inspiration as well as the shop to grab him up for your very own!  Thanks for stopping by- make sure to check back tomorrow for some more frenchie fun!

You & Me

Hiya crafty peeps!  It's another new week which means another awesome new digi release is happening over at Some Odd Girl!  Today I'm going to share Girlfriends Kaylee and Mae and it's the perfect stamp to make cards for those girlfriends you love.  Whether it's a birthday, thinking of you, or even invitations to something fun like a special girls night out this image is sure to be one that you print off often :)  I've seen some cool cards lately where people have stamped onto patterned paper so I wanted to give that technique a try.  I tried to keep the paper a light color so you could easily still see the stamp and I think it turned out okay- what do you think?  It still trips me out a bit when I have a stamp and don't color it, lol!
Don't forget to make a stop over at the Some Odd Girl blog to see some more inspiration from this weeks release and then pop on into the new shop to grab her up for your very own!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!

Enjoy This Moment

Hiya crafty peeps!  I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday!  I took a little break from blogging to enjoy my family and friends but it's time to get back in the swing of things...and what better way to start off than with a new digi release over at Some Odd Girl!  Today I'd like to introduce Fighter Gwen with you- I had a tough time deciding how to color her up because there were so many ideas floating in my head- she'd be perfect for a Fight Like a Girl theme or colored up like Rosie the Riveter.  Ultimately I decided to do a slight Fight Like a Girl theme but with a twist.  As some of you know I work in Breast Care Services and so I wanted a little reminder in my office to stop and appreciate each moment because there are people out there who are struggling much more than I am.  So this is a little sign for my office that I can look at and remember why I really do what I do each day :)
Don't forget to stop on by the Some Odd Girl blog for some more inspiration.  And if you haven't seen it yet you absolutely have to check out the new Some Odd Girl shop- it got an awesome face lift and I know you'll love it!  As always, thanks so much for stopping by to visit me!
